Sewing frenzy

Lately I’ve been in a sewing frenzy! I don’t know if the holidays have motivated me or what.

I finally finished my improv/wonky moon wall hanging project. I really like it!

And I pulled out a top I started last winter to finally finish it. Thank goodness I kept notes of the block sizes I had made in my little notebook. I would go ahead and finish it, but I don’t have a backing I’m happy with for it. I’ll share better pics when I truly finish it.10787823_620258528085700_63786511_n

Nautically inspired rag quilt

My cousin is having a baby within a few days! Yay! The nursery has a nautical theme with blues, greens, whites and reds. I knew she already had her nursery bedding, so I decided to make a rough and tumble rag quilt.

It went together very quickly since I used big squares. Probably just 3 hours total. Easy to knock out on a snowy weekend!

This is only my second rag quilt, but boy they do have their perks. There might be another this winter!
