WIP Wednesday

This is my first time to do a work in progress Wednesday! But I have a few irons in the fire and thought it’d be good to document the processes.

First up is the quilt I’m calling my Sapphire Triangle quilt. (I’ll explain the meaning and name when I post the finished quilt). I guess I’m probably 60-70% through the piecing. I have a lot of strips of triangles. It will be a twin sized quilt. I’m still debating how to quilt it. Part of me wants to do a strip quilt as you go method, since it will be larger. We’ll see!

Also in the works is this stained glass quilt I’m working on. I talked about it before. I’ve finished 6 blocks and cut a bunch more. I’m not sure if I want to make one big quilt or a few bed runners, or what. It’s such lovely fabric. I’m so infatuated.  And apparently I can’t take good pictures of these blocks to save my life.

  1. I love the colors in both projects. I had never thought of using just solids in a quilt but I’ve seen so many around that I like, I may just have to try it!

    • Thanks Sara! I’m very biased towards using only solids in quilts… I’m not good with matching colors in prints. 🙂 And I like the modernity it brings. I hope you try it and enjoy it!
